Val d'Isère FRANÇA

Just returned from a week stay at Club Med Val d'Isere. Highly, highly recommend. I was there with my husband and two teenagers. This trip exceeded all of our expectations. We booked our own flight into Geneva on Sunday. Upon exiting baggage claim, we were immediately met by our driver who transported us 3 hours to the resort. We arrived early (well before check in time), but our room was available so we were able to unpack right away. We preordered gear, which was waiting in our storage lockers in the ski changing room. We had to change out a helmet, and the staff did so without a problem. So so easy. Monday morning ski testing/group selection was well organized. My husband and children skied with their instructor for two days to get comfortable and then headed out on their own the rest of the week. I did not ski, but took advantage of the other activities on site - yoga, snow shoeing, water aerobics, spa, using the ski pass to go up the gondola. All of which were fantastic. There is a bus stop immediately in front of the resort, which made getting to the gondolas and downtown super easy. The food was DELICIOUS! Every meal was incredible - fish station, asian station, meat station, pasta and pizza, cheese, salads, dessert. Menus changed every day so you never got tired of the selection. Wine delivered with every lunch/dinner. Tea time in the bar area had fabulous food as well. Let's just say we didn't go hungry! Always full! My usually unsocial kiddos (boy and girl) took full advantage of the Teen Club - sledding, ice skating, laser tag, etc. Matteo and Wissam - the teen club directors - were incredibly engaging and welcoming. They had a group chat so they could text each other about meet ups and activities. For many meals, they ate with the other teens. We have traveled to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, etc. as family ... and this trip tied for our favorite family vacation! Our teens thanked us every day for booking this trip! We will return!

We chose Val’Isere to introduce our Colorado, ski crazy grandchildren to the Alps because of its reputation as France’s number 1 all around ski resort. We chose Club Med because of its worry free, all inclusive format. Both choices far exceeded our expectation. Val d’Isere is breathtaking. And the Club Med there was everything advertised and more. The food was outstanding, and the service was top flight. In regard the latter, a special thanks to Matteo and the Teen Club crew whose company our two teen grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed. The Club is worthy of its 5 Trident rating.

After trying clubmed la rosiere, alp d’huez and tignes; here is an honest review.

Location is good
Ski in & out is okay; not the best for the young kids in comparison to Tignes but fine
The food quality is one of the best among the rest of the clubs. Great thanks to Ibrahim, Ender, kais?, adem.

The club is small so its easier to move around and more family sensation.
The pool is one the best as well. Its not cold. Rest of the clubs were cold.

Chilcare service was good as usual. GREAT thank you for Pedro, Alan, Yesim.

And room service songul who was a really help and did a good job.

Chef the village wasnt really present. Maybe its because he is moving to another club but it was very much upsetting.

Everyone is an exclusive collection but didnt feel in this way.

Generally clubmed has a this spirit like disneyland, utophic sense of world; not in val d’isere.
We felt we are in luxury hotel.

None of the team member eat with you during dinner/lunch time.

Room service were a disaster. Always something missing and cannot reach anyone by phone: voicemail.

All the ski equipment were ready yet at the end you have to take them to the shop again. It was the first.

The terrasse for after ski part etc is small again. but this is how building is. In tignes it was out next to ski pist. That was really cool.

GO? Saw him dancing.. again not really present.
And when infirmary is closed, GOOD LUCK. Nothing available in the club. I was desperate for a heat patch or volteran..

Chef the village has changed. And some people told me he has more clubmed spirit, he does care shows. This might be a good change.
If so and if it looks like a real exclusive collection, we would come again.

Very well organised. I love especially the yoga classes, Juliette the yoga teacher has such a clean soft voice, I attended 3 classes and each time I fell into deep sleep 🤭.
I love the restaurant too, with various international cuisines and all friendly chefs were ready to answer my countless questions with big smiles, I love cooking myself and thus I spent time talking to them.
I ended up with 4 thank you cards to all the people that I have had deep impression.
