Val d'Isère FRANÇA

We had a wonderful stay in Val d’Isère. The service was excellent from start to finish, and a special thank you to Aykut at reception, who was absolutely amazing—so helpful, welcoming, and professional.

The food was great, the whole team was friendly and attentive, and the skiing was fantastic. Everything made our trip truly enjoyable. We would be happy to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Val d’Isère!

I chose the CM and Val d'Isère for a couple of reasons: 1/ I had read some good reviews of he place, and 2/ to go skiing there was a 50-year old dream.
I began skiing at three but had 17 years without touching the boards. So I wasn't sure how this would play out. Thankfully, the muscle memory kicked in almost immediately and so there was never an issue about 'losing the touch' after almost two decades.
In anything event, the overall vibe was amazing: the rooms, services, and the food was top shelf. Every employee was exceptional, and I want to thank Maxime for being a patient driver and the very helpful concierge originally from Turkey (I'm so sorry I can't remember how to properly spell his name) that understood my needs and make sure I was comfortable at all times. These two should be commended for going beyond what I thought was expected.
However, a special note of thanks goes to my EFS guide, Olivier. This gentleman is an institution, and should be commended for his class, knowledge, humor, and friendliness. Olivier made his entire group feel welcome, and he offered very interesting stories from the area, from why the Nazis couldn't occupy Val, how a downed US airmen during WW2 was hustled across the Italian border to safety, to memories of the famous downhill (Le Face) and the Crazy Canucks of the 1970s and 1980s. Olivier and I were kids then, but the memories stuck.
What a memorable time I had at the resort.

Me and my friend had an amazing time! Since the moment we arrived we felt at home! Aykut welcomed us warmily and showed all the facilities, anything we needed he was happily to do it. We loved it!

Excellent stay with the family. Easy to get on/off slopes. Food was excellent and varied from meal to meal. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed.

Just returned from a week stay at Club Med Val d'Isere. Highly, highly recommend. I was there with my husband and two teenagers. This trip exceeded all of our expectations. We booked our own flight into Geneva on Sunday. Upon exiting baggage claim, we were immediately met by our driver who transported us 3 hours to the resort. We arrived early (well before check in time), but our room was available so we were able to unpack right away. We preordered gear, which was waiting in our storage lockers in the ski changing room. We had to change out a helmet, and the staff did so without a problem. So so easy. Monday morning ski testing/group selection was well organized. My husband and children skied with their instructor for two days to get comfortable and then headed out on their own the rest of the week. I did not ski, but took advantage of the other activities on site - yoga, snow shoeing, water aerobics, spa, using the ski pass to go up the gondola. All of which were fantastic. There is a bus stop immediately in front of the resort, which made getting to the gondolas and downtown super easy. The food was DELICIOUS! Every meal was incredible - fish station, asian station, meat station, pasta and pizza, cheese, salads, dessert. Menus changed every day so you never got tired of the selection. Wine delivered with every lunch/dinner. Tea time in the bar area had fabulous food as well. Let's just say we didn't go hungry! Always full! My usually unsocial kiddos (boy and girl) took full advantage of the Teen Club - sledding, ice skating, laser tag, etc. Matteo and Wissam - the teen club directors - were incredibly engaging and welcoming. They had a group chat so they could text each other about meet ups and activities. For many meals, they ate with the other teens. We have traveled to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, etc. as family ... and this trip tied for our favorite family vacation! Our teens thanked us every day for booking this trip! We will return!
