great rooms, grounds, and amenities obviously are what you expect with this resort, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. at the main desk Chrislove, Sandra and Michelle were welcoming and answered all our questions throughout the stay. but all of the various support staff members were important as well... every cleaning staff member, waiter, bar tender, life guard, Mini club staff member, etc. all combined to make our time at the resort fantastic and made us feel at home.
Location of Club Med Cancun cannot be beat. it's a very large campus with lots to do and coastline, but also it's extremely close to the airport. I'm not even sure it was a 20 minute ride.

Would highly suggest this resort to any one (particularly families) who want to get away from it all and not waste time getting there!

The property is beautiful and meticulously up kept. The people are very friendly, they seem to enjoy working there for the most part (or they are good at faking it). The food is good AND plentiful. There is something to do (or not to do) for everyone. You can be active or just chill out. There is always plenty of seating everywhere, and at so many different locations throughout the resort. You're not fighting for space.

The last time we visited this resort was a few years ago in June, this time we went in September.

Pros - October was still hot, but not AS hot as in June which was made me feel like I would spontaneously combust.

Cons (competed to our June trip)
Water: the swimming/ocean area was very murky and full of seaweed. We couldn't see our hands in the ocean this trip, but in June we could see down to our toes even when the water was up to our chins!
Also, due to the murky conditions snorkeling was not worth it.

Beach: the area was much smaller this time of year (but still plenty for the number of people who were here). The volleyball court was moved over near where the lounge chairs are.

Avocados: we bragged about the giant avocados we had in June, but in October they were regular sized and not nearly as good. I think maybe the fruit wasn't quite as ripe as in June either (although still good). I know it seems silly, it's just that the fruit is something that really stood out for us here.

White Chocolate Bread: although all of their breads are delicious, it was the white chocolate bread that I was dreaming about leading up to this trip. They aren't offering it anymore. So SAD.

Mosquitoes: I don't remember having this issue in June, but maybe I did (it was a few years ago). They were biting me up at night, even with bug spray. Swatting yourself as you're getting bitten and the subsequent scratching does cut in to your relaxed mood, especially after a couple of days in.

Still, we had a great time. The Aguamarina pool is lovely, and the view from the Aguamarina rooms is perfect. We recommend the middle or top floor for the views. We enjoy the little walk to the main area. There weren't as many iguanas out in October, so I felt like I was treasure hunting to see as many as I could.

This time we only stayed 3 nights and it felt a little short. I wouldn't say you need a full week here but 4-5 nights would probably be perfect.

Good place for family. Chef Irad was amazing since we were a vegetarian family and Chef Irad make sure that we are eating healthy and delicious food and also make according to our family needs. Definitely will be back.

When you arrive at Club Med they welcome you "home". For anyone new to the Club Med life this may seem odd. But for those who have been to Club Med and love the experience it makes perfect sense. This was my first visit to Cancun, but I've taken more than 10 other Club Med vacations across the globe. The Cancun Village is equally unique as it is familiar. My room was comfortable. Food selection was diverse and delicious. Bar service was attentive. Activities were entertaining. All the things a guest hopes for. And then some. But the exceptional part to my week was the entire GO team that I had the privilege to engage with. Land Sports / Fitness kept me moving (so I could eat more). The Circus Team kept me safe, and encouraged me to try new things. And the GO team and Managers put on an INCREDIBLE show for the week. I loved every opportunity I had to share a meal with any member of the GO team! And left hoping I would get the opportunity to see these amazing people again in the future. *Club Med is a small world, and it's so fun when familial faces show up at other villages!
I can't speak highly enough of the Club Med experience and Cancun emulates ALL the reasons why I tell all my friends they need to go. Humanity and engagement are hard to find these days. But for a week at Club Med Cancun I was able to find it EVERYDAY!
