Villas Finolhu REPÚBLICA DAS MALDIVAS

As a fan of Club Meds in general, I can say this was by far our absolute favorite! The location and its beautiful scenery paired with the amazing GO staff and close, community feel can't be beat! From the moment we arrived, greeted by GM Marguerite and our amazing butler Abu, to the send off on our last day, every single expectation we had was exceeded!

Marguerite sets an amazing tone as Chef de Village, and the entire GO team shines with their pride and their genuine desire for excellent customer service and hospitality.

The villas are amazing and roomy, with unbeatable views. The pool and surrounding areas were always immaculately kept, and the food was absolutely amazing (and our server - Sola - met us each meal with a smile and already remembering our preferences, and wanting to hear about our day)!

We did an afternoon at the spa and it was pure luxury, with the added touch of being able to watch the fish through the clear, glass floor. We also took part in the coral restoration workshop - just another demonstration of the commitment to sustainability - and were so impressed by Club Med's in-house marine biologist, who took care to answer all questions and really showed how much she loved her job! We also did a couple of the sport classes and the instructor, Love, was absolutely amazing!

All in all, this truly was the best vacation we have ever been on! A perfect mix that balanced both rest and calm with having loads of fun! All while in an incredibly welcoming, serene environment!

We have been continually impressed by the wonderful, welcoming experience we have received at Club Med's previously - but Finolhu exceeded all expectations.

My wife and were looking for somewhere to relax in the sun for a major anniversary milestone. So peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. A quiet place to lounge and read a book for hours on end.

As soon as you arrive you realize that although the Maldives is a magical, warm, tropical oasis - its the people who take Finolhu over the finish line. You are welcomed by Marguerite (Chef du Village) , who is so focused on making sure the whole island team is ready to help you enjoy your stay. She is clearly a great leader as they truly felt like one big family.

We were then taken to our over the water villa by Abu - who would be our butler for the week. He was so pleasant and always keen to make a suggestion on how to enjoy the resort. He helped so much with all the details - taking all the worries away so we could just melt away on the beach.

The food was amazing too. Everyone was so nice - especially Sola - who was always there with a smile to greet you. In no time, he knew what our likes and dislikes were. All the food was so fresh and creative. Fresh baked goods and really great variety.

We managed to snorkel and dive as well. So much marine life everywhere (even from the villa or Motu). Reef sharks, eagle rays and fish all over the place. We even saw dolphins from the boat going to snorkel - and saw them swim by while coming to the surface after diving!
The property was so well taken care of - so photogenic from any angle. Warm water and awesome weather was the icing on the cake.

We normally try to go to different places each vacation - but I think Finolhu could be the one that we want to go back to the most!

Club Med Finolhu is the perfect place to relax and truly wind down, especially if you’re staying in the overwater villas. It’s an ideal escape for honeymooners or anyone looking to get away from the hectic pace of daily life.

Our private overwater villa was stunning, with one of the best private pools and views we’ve ever experienced. Everything was always spotless, and the villa was beautifully decorated daily by Muhaimin. Those thoughtful touches really made our stay extra special.

The island itself is gorgeous. Finolhu has beautiful beaches, crystal-clear blue sea, a calm environment, and plenty of photo-worthy spots that feel straight out of a postcard. There’s no shortage of activities like snorkeling (we even saw turtles!), pétanque, tennis, yoga, paddleboarding, and water polo. If you want more, you can always hop on a boat to Kani Island.

The GOs are simply amazing and know exactly how to create fun and great vibes. Special shout-out to Risa, Opic, Akey, and Adam for keeping us entertained and for guiding us as snorkeling leads.

A very special mention to the Village Chief, Marguerite, for orchestrating everything so smoothly. You can really feel her leadership and presence throughout the village.. and yes, she sings pretty damn well too haha.

DJ Roman was on another level. His music selection, transitions, and ability to read the crowd were spot on every single time. Whether it was chill daytime vibes or full-on party mode at night, he absolutely nailed it and set the mood perfectly. On top of that, he takes insane photos, all using our own phone camera. Seriously impressive.

We also joined a tennis tournament with other GMs and staff and came in second (lol). Special shout-out to Yuki and Raja for the great competition.

The food throughout our stay was excellent. One highlight was when the chef prepared his grandmother’s grilled fish recipe after we asked for his favourite local dish, absolutely loved it. The servers Leo, Saaib, and Shiham were outstanding and remembered our food preferences without us needing to ask. Drinks-wise, Hasan’s team was great , just tell them your mood or go for Hasan’s passion fruit special (lol).

Lastly, a big thank you to our butler Jess for making our stay in Finolhu so relaxing, seamless, and fun. The place is amazing, but even if you took away all the facilities, we’d still come back just for the people. ❤️

This resort is amazing. The staff are friendly and do all they can to make you feel welcome and ensure you have the best holiday possible. The rooms are lovely and the over water bungalows have their own plunge pool and walk down the stairs to the water. The floating breakfast was out of this world and something you have to experience. The food and service was impeccable.
Special call outs to Cruise, our butler, and to our waiter Sola, and the ‘boys’ Adam, Aki and Iru (who spoke 10 languages) for being fun and taking us to amazing snorkelling places. Huge thank you to the resort manager Marguerite, who is the most impressive woman I’ve ever met. She played the piano and sang on the first night, danced and coordinated a Queen tribute another night, spoke French, English and probably other languages and was everywhere in the resort doing jobs with the staff no matter what is was. She is an amazing leader.
I would go back here in a heartbeat. It’s probably the best holiday we’ve ever had.

My husband and I booked this resort for our honeymoon and it was hands down the best decision. The food, staff, accommodations (we stayed in the sunset bungalow), the activities, etc. were all amazing! It was truly the trip of a lifetime and worth every single penny.
