Villas Finolhu REPÚBLICA DAS MALDIVAS

My butler Joohd provided us with extremely great service within the days that our trip was booked. He never failed to impress us with the service that he provided. He helped us all trip.

Our visit here last week was by far the best holiday we've had together. The whole experience was fantastic, and it's the first time in years that I've felt sad to go home at the end of a holiday.

We had an overwater sunrise villa which had a small plunge infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Every morning we watched the beautiful colours of the sun coming up as we started our day with tea on the deck.

Our cleaner, Vayyaaz, was very helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. He kept our villa looking beautiful and our little chats with him were always so pleasant.

Our butler, Joodh, was always available to answer any questions we had, he kept us updated on the daily activities on offer (we particularly liked the white themed night), and he always had a wonderful smile and sense of humour. For such a young person he has a great understanding of what customer service should be like.

At the bar we enjoyed the daily cocktails (and beers), and mealtimes were also a great experience. I would particularly like to say a HUGE thank you to the chefs for making vegan food available for me. Once I explained to them what I prefer not to eat, they came up with wonderful, tasty options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, making my dining experience the best I've had for a very long time. I am so grateful to all of them. 🙏

I had a meditation session with Love as one of the daily activities, and felt so relaxed afterwards. Love is a great teacher who has given me tips for meditating at home now.

Throughout our stay we enjoyed spotting a variety of marine life right under our feet on the boardwalk and from the restaurant - fish, stingrays, reef sharks etc. We even saw a turtle in the water below the restaurant during our first breakfast, and hermit crabs all over the beach at certain times of the day! I also loved the cheeky little white breasted water birds running around all over the place (they are the national bird of the Maldives).

We got lucky with the weather, as generally September is supposed to get a lot of rain. While we visited, though, it was sunny every day with just a few clouds.

All in all it was a great experience and we would love to go back again one day.

P.S. The only thing I would suggest is that the snorkelling experience be communicated better. I assumed we would be snorkelling over shallow water but instead we were taken out on the ocean to 20 m deep water, with no instruction on the boat on the way there, then told to jump in as soon as we were at the designated spot. As this was my first snorkelling experience, it unnerved me and I chose to get back on the boat. To be fair, I should have asked for more information before we left too.

This was our first Club Med experience and I think now every holiday will need to be Club Med. From the moment we arrived at Finolhu we were welcomed with open arms by all the staff including Eva the resort manager. The over water villa we were allocated was out of this world. Our butler Joohd made our experience unforgettable and organised a lot of extras for our special anniversary, even his replacement Rikya when having days off. Both Joy & Leo from the restaurant were amazing, as well as Davut & Sumon (very special) from the bar and Nox the sound tech guru. We especially loved our Spa manager Nawi who organised an awesome couples treatment for us. We will never forget how special this holiday was for us. We loved every second of it!!!

Our stay at Club Med Finolhu was absolutely awesome from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were warmly welcomed and accompanied throughout our journey to the resort. The hospitality continued right until our departure, making the entire experience feel incredibly seamless and personal.

What truly stood out was the people. The entire team was extremely friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable.

A special mention to Martins, who was incredibly friendly and made a real effort to help us mingle and connect with other guests. That personal touch made the social experience at the resort even more enjoyable.

Love was another highlight of our stay. With her immense experience in yoga, she helped us with our back pain and taught us some very useful back stretches. Her knowledge, patience, and positive energy were wonderful.

Pui was also incredibly accommodating, especially when we had a special request to train for snorkeling. She was patient, helpful, and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Her willingness to go the extra mile really stood out to us.

At the restaurant, Shiham was always smiling and ready to provide the best service. His warm attitude and attentiveness made every meal even more enjoyable.

I was also amazed by the diversity of the staff at Club Med Finolhu. Everyone brought their own personality, culture, and expertise, creating a really unique atmosphere throughout the resort.

A particularly interesting experience was meeting Burhan, the Head of Maintenance. He took the time to show us around and explain the behind-the-scenes operations of the resort, including the power generators, wastewater treatment system, and desalination plant that provides drinking water. It was fascinating to see the amount of work and infrastructure required to operate a resort on an island like Finolhu.

And a special mention to Eva, the General Manager, who was incredibly friendly and approachable. She personally welcomed us, was always available, and took the time to join us and greet us at different moments throughout our stay. What impressed us most was that she was there personally to see us off when we departed. That level of personal attention really says a lot about the culture of the resort.

From the airport welcome, to the arrival at the resort, our entire stay, and finally being accompanied all the way through our departure, Club Med Finolhu made us feel genuinely cared for.

The resort is beautiful, the hospitality is exceptional, and the people are what truly make Club Med Finolhu special.

We had an unforgettable time and would absolutely love to come back again. ❤️🌴

Had an amazing experience at Finolhu. My wife and I honeymooned here at the overwater villa sunset side. Joodh was our butler and he did a great job. We got lucky with the weather in monsoon season, only rained one day. If you want to sit back and relax on your honeymoon this is the place to go. Thank you Club Med Finolhu.
