Michès Playa Esmeralda REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

Our family visited Club Med Miches in June 2026. It was our 2nd visit to this particular Club Med and it was an outstanding experience like our first visit here in 2023. Here are the things we like best about the resort:

The resort itself is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The groundskeeping, accommodations, and common areas are pristine. And the beach is absolutely amazing.

The staff members (called G.O.s) are kind, accommodating, and professional. Some examples include:

The main restaurant (Cayuco) manager, Aakshay went above and beyond to accommodate our group of 7. I was on a knee scooter because of a recent surgery, and one in our group was gluten free. He personally offered to (and did) carry my food many times during our trip because it was difficult for me. He also pointed out the gluten free options and directed his chef staff to do the same to make sure we understood which options were gluten free.

The bar staff is amazing. There were so many of them, I’d be surprised if anyone waited more than 30 seconds to be served. Felix and Deiby came out from behind the bar every day to serve us drinks personally to our tables as soon as we sat down. The star of the show behind the bar was the amazing Juan! He remembered our favorite drink orders by Day 2 and created personal relationships with our family. His kindness and service will forever be linked to our experience here!

The management staff takes care of issues efficiently and compassionately. We had a small misunderstanding on Day 2 of our trip which was handled immediately by Manuela. You can tell the customer service level of a resort by how hard they try to make things right and Manuela and the rest of the management team gave an A+ effort and not only made things right, but better than before!

The performances were wonderful and the performers were too! We especially enjoyed seeing Marie who not only was an amazing performer, but seemed to be everywhere directing classes, dancing, and making sure our family was fully entertained.

The activity options provided are so diverse and comprehensive, our family was able to find something interesting every day. From archery, fitness, yoga, water sports, trapeze, tennis, pickleball. . . The list just goes on and on.

Bravo Club Med Miches! We’ll be back!

In terms of sports and circus - Tammy (the best!), Kenzy, Joel, Nacho, Marie. Leo and Kian at water sports - miss you guys. At tennis, Juan Carlos and Joel - lots of laughs. Johnny at archery, thanks for your patience. Reception was so welcoming, thank you to Hugo and Monika. A big shout out to Elizabeth, thank you for your special attention to our 'celebration'. Anne at the coffee shop, always smiling. The bar staff, Yonnattan, Julio, Charles, Jade - always ready to prepare something refreshing in the heat of the Caribbean. Really an amazing time. Ready to go back!

Juan was one of the highlights of our stay at Club Med Michès. From the moment we met him, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had an amazing experience. We had the opportunity to go on an excursion with him, and his enthusiasm, knowledge, and positive attitude made the adventure unforgettable.

What stood out most was how he went above and beyond to connect with guests on a personal level. He made us feel welcome, valued, and cared for throughout our vacation. Thanks to Juan, we didn’t just enjoy a great trip—we created meaningful memories and formed bonds that will stay with us long after returning home.

His dedication, warmth, and professionalism truly made our vacation special. Thank you, Juan, for helping make our time at Club Med Michès so memorable!

We had an amazing time at Club Med Michès, but a few people truly made our trip even more special and memorable.

Juan is an incredible bartender who truly made our vacation unforgettable once we got to know him. Not only is he excellent at his job, but he is also kind, caring, and loves having fun with guests. He was also an amazing problem solver and took the time to explain certain aspects of how the bar operates and why things are done a certain way. We really appreciated his patience and willingness to help us understand their perspective, which showed how much he genuinely cares about both the guest experience and his team. We even went fishing with him, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Juan is a wonderful person and an irreplaceable member of the Club Med team.

The rest of the bar staff also deserve recognition. Deiby, Felix, Adonnys, and Shirley all worked incredibly hard and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. They were attentive to our family, always noticing when we needed refills, and made every interaction enjoyable. They were friendly, fun, and loved joking around with us, which made our experience even better.

Finally, Emma from Meetings and Events was also a very important part of our trip. Although we didn’t use her specific services, she became a great friend whom we truly enjoyed spending time with. We shared lunches together, danced, and hung out in the evenings. Emma was always ready to have a good time while remaining professional and dedicated to her work. She helped make our vacation even more memorable, and we are so grateful to have met her.

Thank you to all of them for helping create such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a truly amazing time in Miches. I’m going to have to abbreviate here because otherwise I’d be writing a short story rather than a review, but there were so many aspects of this resort that were unforgettable, to the point that we started planning our next visit before we had even left.

First of all, huge shoutout to the sports and fitness team for coordinating so many excellent and engaging activities during our visit. Somedays we just spent relaxing by the pool or on the beach, but when we wanted something a bit more action-packed, the sports team was there. Annabelle on the Fitness team, as well as Quentin and Jhonny from Sports were especially awesome, going above and beyond to help us have a memorable trip!

Besides the activities, the administrative side of the resort was also on point. The last thing you want to do when on vacation is get bogged down by tedious logistics, and the reception team did a great job helping us cut right to the good parts of the trip, especially Emma, Cosimo, and Miguel!

One thing I especially loved about Miches was the range of drinks. I don’t drink alcohol, but my partner does, and there was a range of juices and smoothies for me to try and a great range of alcoholic beverages for my partner. All of the bar staff at El Limòn were there for us, no matter if we were getting a morning juice or an evening aperitif. Jessie was great, too!

I’ve struggled to figure out what to say about the food, because it was truly on another level. When I go to an all-inclusive resort, I expect food that’s serviceable and plentiful, but not exactly fine cuisine. That notion was obliterated by the elevated dining at Miches. My standards have now been permanently raised. Luz Maria really took care of us!
